Jan/26/2011 : Seung-Ri's Successful Revolt!

Bigbang's youngest member Seung-Ri (real name Seung-Hyun Lee) started his solo debut in January 20th, with his title song "So what do you want me to do now (Ujjurago)".

His song reached a victorious first place in <Dosirak Chart>, <Ilgan Chart>, and 4~5th place in <Cyworld Chart>, <Bugs Chart>. His comeback songs were successfully performed in Mnet Live, and it is known that Seung-Ri produced some of the songs and dances that were contained in his album. Other songs include "VVIP", "I Know", etc.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAhAHAHA this picture was famous for the hairstyle that Seung-Ri displayed, which was identical to TOP's. It's cute to see the youngest of all members follow the cool hairstyle of the eldest. LOL

Hahaha not really listened enough to Seung-Ri's new songs, but I've checked out the Music Video once on the first day. Really, I've feel YG's power again after GD&TOP's comeback. I think it's a wonderful timing for Bigbang to recover their popularity! And not to mention their skilled songs and performances.

Jan/26/2011 : Tony Ahn's Mourn for his Father

January 25th, early in the morning, Tony Ahn's (real name Seung-Ho Ahn, past member of H.O.T) father passed away due to long suffering from cancer. Even from long, tiring schedules, Tony had never been neglectful in visiting his father's hospital to check how he was holding on.

Many celebrities were able to lend some of their time for the funeral, and Tony stood his ground as the Chief Mourner.

Jan/22/2011 : Kara Dilemma

K A R A !!!!!!!!
The Korean female idol-group with massive impact and popularity in both Korea and Japan!

Kara consists of five female members; Hara, Seung-yeon, Ji-young, Gyu-ri, and Nicole. They debuted with the song "Pretty Girl" in 2007 with a very cute and feminine impression.
The most recent album they released was "JUMPING", in which their official Japan popularity started to bloom.

But recently Kara is in some serious situation with its music company "DSP Media". It is said that some of the members in the group Kara will drop out and stop their activity in this company as "Kara". The company was already on the hard eyes, and the public was actually hoping for just every member to drop out and start a new life as Kara in a different company. This way, all of the members will still be united and therefore satisfy their fans.
The problem is that only Nicole, Ji-young, and Seung-yun stated their withdrawal, bringing in their family and complaints, but Hara and Gyu-ri decided to stay in the company.

Many of Kara's fans are in worry and dismay, and they are at least relieved at the news that Kara is having no problems within the members, but just a little clash with their company. I also hope Kara can come back with their unified 5 members and show us their best act.

LET'S GO KARA!!!!!!!

Jan/18/2011 : Dream High Cast?

I think most of you guys will now know the Korean Drama "Dream High" that you can watch at 9:55 PM every Monday and Tuesday, featuring many of the popular celebrities in Korea. These people include i-dols such as Woo-Young and Taec-Yeon of 2PM, Su-Ji of Miss A, IU, and Park Jin-Young of JYP, Bae Yong-joon (director), and Soo-Hyun Kim.

Just by looking at the actors and actresses, some people may already be wondering "These Korean I-dols don't even have acting experience for an official drama like this" or "Is this drama just to catch popularity among teenagers and young adults?". Well, I have to admit, I have thought of that too in the beginning. But now I think about it, reading more comments and articles of "Dream High", the purpose of these featuring was to make this whole drama more realistic

The story of "Dream High" is set in the world of the competition between High School teenagers in becoming musicians/dancers/i-dols. Kirin Arts High School is where all these students end up together after their personal conflicts, and it is also concluded that Bae Yong-Joon (director, producer of "Dream High") purposely used these celebrities for these parts since they share similarities in real life and for the character, which will make the drama more realistic.

Fortunately, as the drama "Dream High" gradually began to reach its 4th to 6th episode, many viewers started to accept these immature cast, and admitted their growing skills in performing. Also, although very unexpected and surprising, "Dream High" won over the other drama "Athena" that is shown on the same day, same time.

WHOOT!
